Out-Of-Hours Support For Farmers This Harvest
Berwick Engineering firm, JH Wood Ltd, are Preparing for Harvest with Extended Opening Times and Extended Services.
JH Wood Engineers have announced today that they have further developed their trade counter, extended their opening times and continuing a dedicated harvest helpline to support farmers during the harvest period. This preparation is to support farmers across north Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, with all of their engineering needs and parts, throughout this very important and busy time of the year.
JH Wood have extensive experience within the agricultural sector, offering only the highest quality support and they confirm that the JH Wood team will provide immediate help for urgent repairs, both on and off-site, such as Axle repairs, onsite welding, machine design and grain auger repairs.
The Out-Of-Hours helpline, 07714 781452, will be available from 1st July through until 30th October, for urgent out-of-hours harvesting repairs and parts, and the trade counter, which stocks an extensive range, has extended both the items it stocks and its opening times.
These Berwick-upon-Tweed based engineers and fabricators, are also the appointed north east and Scottish Borders dealer for SUKUP Europe (formerly trading as Dan-Corn), one of the leading manufactures of grain storage and handling equipment. Some of the work they complete within this area includes the refurbishment of equipment, conveyors and installation commissioning.
The harvest essentials, which they stock, include drier parts, bearings, belts, and workshop consumables such as aerosols, lubricants and discs. With the longer opening hours, helpline and their 24-hour stock sourcing policy, JH Wood can ensure that emergency items are available.

We are fully aware that this is one of the most significant times of the year for so many farmers, in terms of their immediate need for repairs and engineering work, which in most instances, needs to be done at very short notice. Matthew is keen to highlight, however, that; “If you possibly can, plan ahead and check that all machinery, parts and tools are in good condition. For those bearings that you know might go, and those chains that need repairing, we can order your spares in and book time for you in advance. By doing this, you will know that you are equipped and ready, even if the worst does happen.”
Open Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, JH Wood will also be opening on Saturday mornings too, from 8:00AM to 12:00PM.
