Chillingham Wild Cattle Open Day sees fantastic footfall on the day

With over 100 visitors on the open day over £800 in donations gratefully received , Once again the open day was a roaring success. Ross McNeil lovingly carved a wooden bear and an mystical owl and both of those sold on the day.

The day was a huge success, Professor Stephen Hall’s talk proved to be immensely popular for the members of the public that took a ride on the trailer, for an informative trip.

Bella the Percheron heavy horse put on demonstrations all day and posed for photos. Roy Murray gave some great talks pertaining to the use of heavy horses for logging as a much a more environmentally friendly method and the history of heavy horses as work animals. Truly informative.
