Power in the Printing World

Continuing to strengthen the green ethos of the company H&H Reeds Printers have just taken delivery of a brand new Designjet Latex Printer. The new piece of equipment is part of an investment programme ear marked for the development of more eco friendly products and services across their three print shops in Cumbria.

The Latex Printer, an addition to the Sign and Display  premises will allow H&H Reeds Printers to produce a wider range of signage options to their increasing customer base while reducing their carbon footprint. It is also a sign of the evolving world of print that has seen so many changes over the last century.

Maurice Oliver, Manager of the Sign & Display team based at Rosehill, Carlisle commented;

“Our commitment to meeting customer requirements is paramount and this new printer, which is environmentally friendly, will enable us to produce environmentally friendly products required for the 21st century. Having spent the last 30 years within the sign and display industry, I have seen many changes and to have this latest piece of equipment is another leap forward for the company”.

Keeping up with the latest in green technology the new printer can print on a wide range of substrates including textiles, wall papers, vinyls and pvc banner materials.

Since the acquisition of Cypher Digital earlier this year. H&H Reeds have held a firm commitment to becoming a “one stop shop” print service.

Not only are the company investing in new equipment, they are also investing in the ongoing development and training of their staff. Earlier this month a member of the Sign & Display team Marco Oliver, attended a two day vehicle wrapping course. Although Marco has several years experience in the area, attending the course allowed him to develop his skills and techniques and stay up to date with the latest initiatives and vehicle wrapping technologies. As he commented;

“With the demand for vehicle wrapping and vinyl graphics growing it is great to be given the opportunity to update my skills. The development of this product and service is fantastic with some impressive and eye catching designs coming through from our designers at Penrith”.

Interesting times lay ahead for H&H Reeds Printers who have become an eminent force in print over the last few years. Their investment for the future in both their print capabilities and  their personnel will stand them in good stead as the economy takes the first steps of recovery.
