Bring Your old Bentley to Borderway –
November Classic Car Auction attracting the Winners

The Borderway Classic Car Auction, to be held on 15th November, is already beginning to attract some head-turning winners. The sale will be held in the Borderway Exhibition Hall, and is expected to attract over 200 potential buyers, as well as a variety of entries, from complete cars to components and souvenirs from the world of motoring.

Currently in poll position is an immaculate 1986 Porsche 911 Supersport Targa, a stunning car that will leave others standing, win admiring looks from the pavement, and leave money in your wallet!

This, the north of England’s only Classic Car Auction, lines up cars and matches them to the enthusiast everywhere. Both cars and buyers are attracted from across the UK. Graeme Hall, Director, is organising the sale, which is one of two the company holds every year.

The sale attracts everything – perfectly looked after limousines, wrecks requiring a lot of love and attention, rare spare parts, and treasured memorabilia. Prices will range from many thousands to a few pounds.

A sample of entries so far include the 1986 Porsche 911 which is a Supersport Targa in Grand Prix White. Graeme expects it to go from between £18,000. – £22,000. “A bargain in the current market, the value of these limited edition 911s is only going one way,” he adds. “The 911 is up there with the best we have had.”

At the restoration project end is a beautiful 1965 Vanden Plas 4 Litre R – no ordinary saloon this – it was powered by a Rolls Royce Engine. Graham adds “she is a rare old thing and a great restoration project for someone.”

“There is also a Mercedes SL320, and a 1999 Mazda MX5 with only 18,000 miles on the clock – so it’s done nothing and is absolutely immaculate.”

Graeme says, “For all cars of this vintage, the restoration prospects are excellent. Most are pre-computer, and are backed up by a huge network for parts for all of these old cars. Keeping them on the road has developed into a multi million pound industry in the UK now.”

Enquiries about entries should be called in on 07850 285939. Entries will be accepted up to 7 days before the sale, although by this late stage they will not appear in the catalogue.
